Borgata again named best of the best

For the third consecutive year, readers of Casino Player magazine named Borgata Hotel Casino & Spa as Atlantic City’s best overall gaming resort.

Borgata also received first place awards for best hotel, hotel lobby, rooms, spa, casino, comps, race/sports book, table game tournaments, high limit room, blackjack, live poker and non-smoking casino/area.

It took second for best hotel staff, pool, VIP services, craps, poker tournaments and carnival games, and third for best video slots and bingo.

Resorts Casino Hotel, again the number two-rated overall gaming resort, took home awards for best hotel staff, suites, VIP services, dealers, slot tournaments and craps.

Resorts received second place awards for best hotel, casino, players club (Star Card), comps, promotions, reel slots, blackjack and non-smoking casino/area. Third place awards included best rooms, table game tournaments, video poker, roulette and carnival games.

Golden Nugget took third place as best overall gaming resort, and won top honors for best hosts, promotions, video poker, roulette, carnival games and bingo.

Its second place awards were for best rooms, suites, spa, slot tournaments and video slots. Third place awards included best hotel staff, hotel lobby, players club (24K Select Club), VIP services, poker tournaments, reel slots, blackjack, craps and non-smoking casino/area.

In addition, Golden Nugget was judged “Favorite Casino Resort To Vacation At,” followed by Resorts and Tropicana Atlantic City.

Tropicana also took first place for best players club (Trop Advantage), reel slots and video slots.

Second place honors included best dealers, video poker, high limit room and roulette, and third place for best hotel, casino, comps, promotions, slot tournaments and live poker.

Tropicana was deemed “Casino Where You Feel The Luckiest,” followed by Golden Nugget and Borgata.

Bally’s Atlantic City was honored for best poker tournaments, second place for best hotel lobby, race/sports book, table game tournaments and live poker, and third place for best spa and hosts.

Harrah’s Resort took first place for best pool and second for best hosts.

Caesars Atlantic City took second place for bingo, and third place for best suites, pool, dealers, and high limit room.

Another gridiron challenge

From noon Tuesdays to noon Sundays through Dec. 30 Ocean Premier cardholders at Ocean Resort Casino can go to a special promotional kiosk and choose the teams they think will win the Sunday and Monday professional football games.

Every week the 10 players with the most correct picks each will win $500 in free play.

At the end of the season the five players with the most correct picks each will win $5,000 in free play.

Correctly choosing the winner of 193 of the potential 233 games will award that individual $1 million.
