Practically every day of the week there is a fun-filled and free, family-friendly event taking place in Ocean City, either on the boards or along the avenue.

”Fantastic Tuesdays” take place in Downtown O.C. from 10 a.m. to 1 p.m. along Asbury Avenue between 6th and 14th streets in July and August. Look for live entertainment and face painters along the avenue as you shop and dine.

In the evening, the famous Mummers take over the boardwalk from 6th to 14th streets, where they will “strut” from 7 to 9 p.m. through Aug. 28.

Rise and shine early to attend the Ocean City Farmers Market, which takes place on the Tabernacle grounds at 6th and Asbury from 8 a.m. to 1 p.m.

Stick around to shop, as each Wednesday along Asbury Avenue a Merchants’ Sidewalk Sale takes place throughout July and August.

Wacky Wednesdays offer “wacky, but not tacky” fun events and contests for the entire family begin at 10:30 a.m. every week through August 29 at the Music Pier, Moorlyn Terrace and the Boardwalk.

”Market Days” are held from 10 a.m. to 1 p.m. in Downtown O.C. Find face painters, entertainment and pony rides to amuse and delight during July and August.

From 7:30 to 9:30 p.m., head to the boards for ”Family Night,” where entertainment from musicians and bands will perform weekly through Aug. 30.
