Navigating 50 Bites+ : Week Three

  • Updated

After two straight weeks of running around grabbing bite after bite, we understand that you may feel the need to slow down a bit. That said, coming to a complete stop would be an utterly foolish move, especially considering the limited time one has with a promotion like 50 Bites+.

Bottom line: You can’t start running out of gas already, it’s only Week Three! Snap out of it before we are forced to lay upon you the ultimate 50 Biter’s disgrace — a slap in the face with your own lanyard.

OK, now that you have been properly scolded, it’s time to jump into the bites. We have decided to be merciful this week and only plan to hit five stops, each of them outside A.C.

We begin with a newcomer to 50 Bites+, the Hamilton Mall’s Steve’s Grilled Cheese and Quesadilla Co. where we go big and hearty with the mac and grilled cheese. We could describe it, but it’s a mac

and cheese grilled cheese. What else do you need to know? From there we hit Red Lobster. Yes, Red Lobster. While some may be surprised to see it made this list, one bite of their coconut shrimp will have you questioning what your problem was in the first place.

From there we hit the road again, stopping first at Chickie’s and Pete’s in Egg Harbor Township for their dry-rubbed boneless chicken wings, then moving on to A Touch of Italy, where the eggplant rollantini serves as the perfect setup for our final bite of the day, the humble yet amazingly delicious cheeseburger slider at McCullough’s Pub.

So this week wasn’t too tough, but don’t get too cocky about your bite-eating prowess, because the slow, relaxed pace of munching bites in the suburbs is about to be a thing of the past. Next week 50 Bites+ enters the big city!
